After years working in visual communication, I decided to explore the fusion between the rationality of design and the creative freedom of illustration through volume and materiality.
I am interested in representing reality through a personal and gestural language, seeking honesty in each piece. For this reason, I leave the marks of the tools and the texture of the materials visible, allowing them to interact with and integrate into the architectural spaces they inhabit. I am drawn to the spontaneity of gesture, the energy of the mark, and the value of error as an inherent part of the reality being represented.
My work sits between the visual and the figurative, leaving room for concept without imposing it, and avoiding an approach where aesthetics become mere decoration. This balance connects with Susan Sontag’s idea of enjoying a work for what it is, not for what it is supposed to mean.
“He has a very raw style, a very confident stroke. It’s a mix of style, talent, humor, and bite in equal parts. He throws the stone and then offers you his hand.”
